Church offers free medicare, donates clothes, other items to Lagos community
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Sea-side Estate Badore, recently organised a one-day free healthcare services for the communities in Langbasa Ajah-Lekki in Lagos.
The Pastor-in-Charge, Charles Paul said the gesture was to contribute their quote to the society. According to him, the church is not only to preach the words of God, but to reachout to the people through charity projects, community healthcare services and vocational skill acquisition projects for national development.
He noted that government alone cannot do everything for its citizens and for that reason religious organisations, foundations and corporate bodies have to come in to close the gap.
The project, he said, was meant to put smiles on families and appreciated all the contributions that have donated to the cause.
Aside that, the church also donated clothing materials, gave free drugs and food.
