Mourning comes for a number of reasons that range from loss of loved one (s), the affliction of sicknesses and diseases or punishment for sins committed that may make God allow the enemies

Isaiah 40:1-2, “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.”Isaiah 40:1-2, “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.”

Mourning comes for a number of reasons that range from loss of loved one(s), the affliction of sicknesses and diseases or punishment for sins committed that may make God allow the enemies to attack His children. When one is mourning, there is always an avenue for comfort from God Almighty through an anointed servant of God that will declare God’s Word to the people, and make them accept our Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

The declaration of God’s Word will bring comfort to the people that are mourning. This is done when there is a change of attitude, brought about by repentance that will usher in the rebirth of mind for a life devoid of sin and wickedness. In the lead scripture above, there is a provision for the forgiveness of sins committed by the mourners. The intervention of God, following repentance will bring about comfort. There is the hope of comfort for people that are mourning.

Anointed men of God use the declarative Word of God to bring comfort to the people that mourn. That is why the Bible declares in Isaiah 60:1-2 saying, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn”. This scripture is the prophecy of Isaiah about the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fortunately, our Lord Jesus Christ read this very scripture in Nazareth, when He attended service in a synagogue. God sent Him to preach good news to the poor, comfort the brokenhearted, open the door of prison to the captives and declare the year of grace, which is what He called the acceptable year of the Lord. During the acceptable year of the Lord, the people that mourn in one way or the other are comforted, as they are released from their problems. The day of vengeance of our God is yet to come; that is the time our Lord Jesus Christ will come again in His glory as a ruling King.

However, it is pertinent to note here that prior to the first advent of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Israelites celebrated this acceptable year of the Lord as the year of jubilee. It is the year of grace when all sins are forgiven; all slaves are freed and are allowed to return to their original homes as freed people. Then, people are not to plant and labour. Rather, they eat fruits and food that grow on their own accord. The people mourning are comforted and encouraged to continue their lives on a good note.

Now that our Lord Jesus Christ has come, there is grace for as many as would accept Him as Lord and Saviour. They will be comforted in Him, as they will be liberated from the Devil’s bondage. The Bible says in Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted”. This is our Lord Jesus Christ saying that the people that mourn will be blessed. The blessing will come through Him when the people must have repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. There is comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is abundant grace for the people in the Lord Jesus Christ, so much so they will have no reason to mourn for anything. There is a bright future for the People of the Lord. Their affairs are handed over to God. Their future is in God’s Hands. There is comfortable hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. For the people that do not trust in the Lord, one misfortune or the other can cause them to mourn. But for God’s people, any situation they find themselves in is an avenue for Divine intervention in their life.

At the very ripe age, Abraham and his wife, Sarah had no child, but God’s intervention made it possible for them to be blessed with a male child when Abraham was 100 years and Sarah 90 years. The problem of barrenness called for mourning, but they did not do that because they knew that God’s promise would be fulfilled. That was why the Bible expressed Sarah’s happiness in this manner in Genesis 21:1-6 saying, “And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. 2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. 3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. 4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him. 5 And Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born unto him. 6 And Sarah said, God hath made me laugh so that all that hear will laugh with me”. When people begin to laugh at an individual that has been mourning, the problem has been solved and the person’s situation changed for the better. This is the case of Sarah in this context and that will also be for as many people as will trust in the Lord in whatever ugly situation they may be facing in their lives.

In Matthew 15:13 the Bible says, “But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up”. God’s Will for His children is that they will always live comfortably. He makes provision for them. If the Devil comes, whatever the evil one does must be removed at the appointed time. In some cases, God sets up a testing programme for His trusted children; whoever undergoes that test successfully must have a promotion.

In whatever situation you find yourself, hand it over to God. His intervention will bring you out of it victoriously. God does not allow His children to mourn and by His grace, you will never mourn in Jesus name.

Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
Evangelism, The Heartbeat Of God
Mark 16v15-16 says “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
Rom 10v15b says “…How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things.”

THE fulfilment of our vision and mandate hinges on the preaching of the gospel. Moreover, evangelism is the duty of every Christian in this world, according to Mark 16v15. And this is why every Chosen member is duty-bound to preach the gospel, and as many as preach the gospel in righteousness, miracle, signs and wonders will follow them and they are very precious in the eyes of the Lord. It is, therefore, not surprising the numerous testimonies that proceed from those who are faithful in this assignment. One of such testimonies is the one given by Brother Ben.

Brother Ben Chukwu worships at Shell Club branch and joined Chosen in 2006. He came to thank God for the victory He granted him two weeks ago. He went out to preach and when he got to a place where he wanted to preach, he saw some boys in Keke Marwa (tricycle). As he was preaching, the boys were making nasty comments and they said he (Bro Ben) was one of those that General Pastor used to do sacrifice. He did not mind them but continued to preach. As he was preaching, the boys were throwing arrows at him, to the extent that he wanted to get confused, but God helped him and made a wall of fire over him. When their arrows failed, one of them went to him and wanted to hit him, but he declared that he is a Chosen and that one went back. After his preaching, he prayed for his hearers and rounded off. Then those other boys told him that if he should come there again to give that kind of preaching, he would be beaten up and brother Ben replied that if he tried to rob again, he would be caught and burnt. Then he went somewhere and began to pray and sent fire to their kingdom. As he was praying there, not quite long, a brother standing by his side, came to him and said he wanted to surrender his life to Christ. He asked him who he was and he said he came from Cameroon on a mission to kill his brother. But as brother Ben was praying, all the powers he acquired to carry out his evil mission disappeared. And that was why he came to surrender his life to Christ.

According to the young man from Cameroon, he came to Lagos to kill his brother because their family is occultic, and he is the head of the family and the brother is a pastor in one church here in Lagos. But the brother’s prayer usually disturbed them and so, the family sent him here to destroy his brother, but as he had encountered Brother Ben, his whole power disappeared. Truly, the God of Chosen is a great God. So, no one can challenge Him for He is the mighty man in battle.

Now The Brother From Cameroon:
HE said that his name is Paul, and he did not know that The Lord’s Chosen is as big as this. He was grateful to God for delivering him from all those demons he contacted from the satanic association. According to him, Brother Ben brought him here on Tuesday and as he was at the security post, he discerned that power is in this place because all the 120 demons he came with, none could follow him into the church. He asked them why they did not want to follow him to enter the church and they said this church (Chosen) is dangerous. After the General Pastor’s prayer that Tuesday, he was taken to the welfare department, and he was quartered there. Now, he has seen what God can do and he has decided to surrender his life to Christ. Then he was told to go and pray, but he did not know how to pray and the pastor decided to pray for him. As Pastor was praying for him, he began to feel fire and suddenly, he was carried back to Cameroon in the spirit realm and he destroyed the demons/spirits in his father’s compound. Moreover, he was carried to the water, where his wife and children were, and the fire destroyed everything there. He saw his grandfather being burnt and the father told him he had nothing to do with him again. After all this, a man in a suit washed him and then dress him in a white garment and suddenly he woke up. The God of Chosen is wonderful indeed. Now that he is a Chosen, God has shown him many revelations. One of them was that somebody came and carried him to heaven and he saw white horses there. Then the angel told him to sit down. As he sat down, the being that carried him to Heaven gave him four quotations from the Bible: John 1:12,15; John 3:16; 2Corinth 5:17; Phil 3:10

Brethren, God says, ‘He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy,’ and truly, He has shown mercy to Brother Paul from Cameroon.

Back To Brother Ben
In conclusion, Brother Ben prayed for General Pastor and all the Chosen worldwide, heaven at last in Jesus name. Praise the Lord!

Bro Ben/Bro. Paul
