This musical prodigy’s much-awaited creation is slated to hit the airwaves on October 27th, available on every streaming platform, courtesy of United Masters. ‘Jo Crazy’ isn’t just a song; it’s a celebration of identity, a musical testament to self-discovery, and an invitation to dance without constraints.

But David Coast is not just another artist; he’s a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. “I am the hottest upcoming Afrobeats/Afro-Fusion artist. I am a versatile individual who not only is a singer/songwriter but also a guitarist, producer, and an amazing performer who brings energy into any room I step in. My sound is truly novel, connecting with audiences from different genres and garnering new listeners worldwide,” he tells us in a recent interview.

David’s musical roots delve deep into a childhood filled with Lagbaja, Fela, and Asa, seasoned with the sounds of Whitney Houston and the iconic reggae of Bob Marley. His influences are as eclectic as his sound, drawing inspiration from artists like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Ed Sheeran, merging Afrobeat rhythms, reggae vibes, and bluesy guitar melodies into a unique, unmistakable sound.

When asked about the title, Coast passionately explains, “The title, ‘Jo Crazy,’ encapsulates the essence of the song. It’s an invitation to let loose, to dance without a care in the world, and to revel in the joy of being yourself. In a world that can sometimes be chaotic and demanding, ‘Jo Crazy’ is a reminder to find moments of freedom and happiness in simply being present. Jo Crazy’ represents that sense of self-acceptance and authenticity. It encourages everyone to break free from societal norms and dance to the beat of their drum.”

This track, produced by the talented Marphy Jay, is a unique blend of Afrobeats and Amapiano, infused with soulful blues on the guitar, and it promises a unique experience. As the anticipation for ‘Jo Crazy’ builds, Coast is already making waves in the local Dallas music scene. “I am forging a strong local fan base in Dallas, a solid foundation for the Afro-Fusion movement, the new wave. This is the beauty of Afro-Fusion; it gives room to not only create traditional music but also experiment with different sounds, bringing fantastic new elements towards a new generation of musicians.”
