Enjoying God’s presence – Part 2
“And he said I myself will go with you and give you rest. And Moses said, if you youself are not going with us, do not send us on from here” (Ex. 33:14-15).
The journey of life won’t be easy and enjoyable without God’s presence. Today, many people are striving to succeed in life, to live a victorious life, but failed in recognition of God in their life’s affair. When Moses started his journey in leading the Israelites, he accorded God’s presence. At this junction, he requested for God’s presence and God gives him assurance that “…I myself will go with you and give you rest” What a wonderful assurance in walking with God and enjoying His presence. This week, God wants to partner with you in your life careers, as long as you are ready to acknowledge Him.
First, God won’t give you a career that will claim your life and your health. Every career is demanding for our time, energy and mental skills. Though, there is no career that is not risky in nature, God’s presence turns labour into rest. After all your labour in active service, enemies will not prevail over your health. Some will use all their life to work, but will nurture sickness throughout their retirement age. Having enjoyed God’s presence in your active service, your retirement life shall be full of His presence, rest and strength.
Second, the Lord’s presence over your career will bring blessings and not curse. If you have been living less than blessed, you can turn your life around by inviting God’s presence into your business. God’s blessing are the original plan for you as a child of God. He wants to make you rich in every area of life- your health, finances, relationships, and more in life. “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it” (Prov. 10:22). But try to avoid illegal business as a child of God.
Third, acknowledge God in your life career, as He is the Author of everything. “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your part” (Prov. 3:6). You can’t achieve success in life outside God. Ungodly may be rich in wealth but not rich in God. And when the wind blows on their wealth, there is no strength to bear the storm. But whenever any child of God is faced with the storm of life in their business, they are like a house built on the rock that stands.
In conclusion, build your life career on God as the solid rock. He is able to fulfil all your life purpose as said in the scripture. “Grand thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel” (Ps. 20:4). No evil imagination, and mischief of the enemy will prevail over your job, business and career, as you enjoy His presence.
