It was a fun filled day for students in Apapa, Lagos, as Ginai Kids Entertainment organised a special Children’s Day party for kids in private nursery and primary schools. The event, held at the Navy Barracks, Apapa, witnessed school parade, choreography, dance and spelling competition, among others.

CEO, Ginai Integrated Venture, Regina Jideowo: “I like to see children happy, and I’m ready to go the extra mile to get it to their doorstep. Children’s Day takes you back to your childhood. As adults, there are some things you can no longer do. So, we want to go back and remember what we did then, by doing something that can make the children happy.”

She explained that the occasion also provided an opportunity for parents to bond with their children. “Children’s Day is a special day to make children happy. Since they are always with their books reading, the day lets them loosen up and take out stress. For us, celebrating children is not just a one-day affair in a year. We usually organise more than three or four events for children yearly,” she said.

The proprietress of Bella International School said: “I have passion for kids and always want to see them happy. Children have a lot upstairs, but they need people that can push them to exercise their brain for them to function properly. They also need to have fun from time to time for a balance.”

The Head of Mar-yola Nursery and Primary School, Mr. Adesoji Adelabu said: “Children need to catch fun. It is part of learning because it is part of the extra-curriculum. They need to go out and mingle with their friends. It is all part of learning. The best way to celebrate children is for them to come together like this, seeing different faces and learning one thing or the other from their peers.” Mar-yola won the March past and spelling bee competition at the event.
