Good Shepherd Schools reward best students, award scholarships

This year’s Valedictory Service and Prize-giving Day would ever remain fresh in the minds of the pupils and students of Good Shepherd Schools, Lagos, as the school authority gave out awards and scholarships to deserving students/pupils.

The awards cut across all the sections, from Primary 1 to 6, Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1 to III and Senior Secondary School (SSS) I to III.

Held at the Meiran Campus of the school, Chidinma Okonkwo (SS III) emerged best student and was awarded scholarship worth N250,000 for her tertiary education. The first runner-up, Gabriel Olamide (SS III), also got the same amount.

In SS II, Chindinma Ukachi came first, Precious Adegoke (2nd), while Oluwatobi Ajao was third.

SS1, had Tolani Habeeb, Joachin Onyebuagu and Joel Onyebuagu emerge first, second and third respectively.

In JSS III, Ajuwon John emerged the best, Enyioko Hilda came second, while Babalola Halleluyah was third. In JSS 2, Dapo Fagbure took first position, Mercy Simeon, second, and Toluwalope Odubanjo came third. The results went down to the primary section too. All the students were rewarded for their outstanding performances.

Congratulating graduands, Chairman, Good Shepherd School, Dr. Adebayo Oyeyemi, said: “The school has equipped the graduating students with skills to succeed in life and change the world.”

He said solutions to Nigeria’s problems lie with the younger generation, adding that godliness is part of the tools needed to rescue the country from collapsing.
