The Association of Good Leadership Advocates Peace Development Lagos (AGLAPDA), has commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State for good governance and for tackling the social and economic problems of the state.

In a statement signed by its National President, Prince (Dr) Olusegun Ologbese, the association said Ambode has done creditably well in the areas of security, environmental sanitation, good roads, transportation, sports, and beautification, among others.

The group praised Ambode for giving Lagos State a new look and new direction, saying to enhance his noble achievements, he urgently needs to tackle the problems of touts collecting illegal tolls from commercial vehicle along all the major roads, such as Ikorodu-Marina, Berger-Obalende, Ikeja to Marina or Obalende, Apapa to Oshodi, Sango – Oshodi – Lagos, Ketu – Ojuelegba to Marina.

According to them, the task force must be on standby along these roads and any tout arrested collecting illegal money should be sent to farms where they can earn their daily living and produce foods for the people of the state.

This suggestion, Ologbese, Life Patron of Nigeria Union of Journalists Ondo/Ekiti chapter, said, should be backed up with an enabling law or edict to make it work.
