KEY VERSE: “Romans 8:9, “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now, if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.” (NKJV)

Jesus completely surrendered to the Father. We, also, have to completely surrender to God. Jesus did nothing of His own, except what the Father told Him to do. In action, Jesus acted as the Father and did nothing, but what He saw the Father do (John 5:19). Jesus never spoke on His own, but only spoke what the Father commanded Him to say and spoke, exactly the way the Father commanded Him to speak (John 12:49). Jesus lived a very humble life and exhibited humility, which we all know is one of the fruits of the spirit. Jesus was obedient to the point of death and I know if the Father wants Him to stand or sit, He will just do exactly so.

The Scripture says let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, Who made Himself of no reputation (Philippians 2:5 & 6). Jesus was willing to be obedient and never struggled with the Father, but submitted Himself completely to God. Jesus personally, voluntarily, and intelligently made Himself of no reputation, not that He Had no reputation, but He set a very great example for us. Our Master made Himself of no reputation and as Christians, let us make ourselves of no reputation. Make yourself of no reputation, go gently, go humbly, and put your shoulders down. No matter how much God has blessed you, do not push it into other people’s eyes and nose, but find a better use for it.

Jesus had tremendous glory and it was on the Mount of transfiguration that Peter, James, and John saw His glory and they did not know what to do, but only said, ‘let us stay here.’ I know you have so much glory and God has been using you mightily, but please take it easy.

Today, we see some pastors already boasting too much and glorifying themselves on social media. I have come to know that one of the reasons God cannot use us properly is that when He uses someone to heal a headache, the whole world will not have rest because of that. That is just a headache, so what happens when the blind sees, the lame walks, the broken waists are set right and livers and kidneys are healed? You are already boasting about headaches and you are struggling with God for His glory. Why should God give you more, when you leave Him out of it? The little He gave you; you do not even want to give Him the glory.

We need to grow to become like Christ. As we give our lives to Christ, there is something called the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ. When that law comes into us, it sets us free from sin and death. It is a conscious move of the person and we no longer be identified with evil. God will give us the grace to take the decision to be like Christ today, and the grace of God will come upon you and enable you to actualise it. You will have a testimony.
