Rabbi Edward Akinlade has revealed a plan to commence a divine engagement that could save Nigeria from the clutches of disintegration.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, Rabbi Akinlade, who is also the Group Managing Director of Suru Group disclosed that the prayer session would be held daily from 3 am to 4 am. He targets believers across the nation and Nigerians in the diaspora to participate in the intense one-hour prayer.

He said: “My actions and inactions have always been a function of spiritual instruction from God. It was God Who told me in 2006 to leave the UK and come to Nigeria to start my business. It was God Who told me to dedicate the first day of every year to organise praise and worship events to usher myself into the new year. Even amidst the challenge that Suru Group has been having with AMCON for some time, it has always been God Who has kept us going. So, occasionally, God speaks to me.

“In the advent of the new mandate. God made three covenants with me, one, that I will pray at 3 am every morning till I die. Two, that I will have the power to call rain to fall and to stop the rain from falling, and finally, that I will have the power to throw Jonah into the ocean.”

He said it was the prophetic injunction that gave birth to the Holy Tabernacle Temple (HTT) of 3 am daily prayer, which will be holding a session at 3 am every day.

“God said once we built the church, all the prayers made inside the building shall be answered. According to God’s ordinance, the church shall be raised in seven nations; Lagos, Abuja, Johannesburg, Frankfort in Germany, Dubai, London and Houston Texas,” he said.

On why the particular church is being set up at this time, Rabbi Akinlade said God gave him seven divine mandates for the 3 am church, which includes, to worship Jehovah, preach the love of Jesus Christ and the Messiah to seven nations, change Nigeria’s story and Nigerians through the daily prayers and alleviate the suffering of citizens through giving, so as to make the country a better place for coming generations.

Also to wage war against fake pastors and bad leaders. He admonished Nigerians to key into the prayer fellowship to make Nigeria the country of their dream.
