Control The Eye Gate And Immorality Will Die
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin…cursed children.” 2 Peter 2:14.

There you see the progression. When your eyes are full of adultery, they will lead you to a life of ceaseless sin and eventually you will end up cursed and damned throughout eternity.

It Demands A Drastic Action
If you lose this battle, you are hell bound. This is the battle of your soul and it demands a drastic action. When Phinehas Eleazar saw immorality in the camp, he rose up, took a javelin and went after the culprits, thrusting them through the belly, pinning them to the ground. He took a drastic action.

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

AND IF THY RIGHT EYE OFFEND THEE, PLUCK IT OUT AND CAST IT FROM THEE: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:27-29.

This is drastic action that Jesus called for. This is more than mere deleting phone numbers from your phone directory. You might have to leave that house, job, compound, church, and city etc. where that person that keeps enticing you is.

Sex is more powerful than you are. Again, what you cannot conquer when you are young in faith or newly born again will grow with you and conquer you again and again and again until you are prepared to be true to yourself and take some drastic actions.

Job took such a drastic action;
“I made a covenant with mine eyes, How then should I look lustfully at a young woman?” Job 31:1WEB

In my youthful years, I was led to make a covenant of holiness. At the age of 21, I made a covenant never to sleep with or have sex with any woman that is not my wife. This was a binding covenant. By my adherence to this covenant, six specific blessings were to follow me over the years. On breaking this covenant, six specific curses were to follow me. Many people will say this is too radical. But in the light of the weight of eternal glory, I consider it a small price to pay. It rather amazes me that satanic agents are more ready to enter into binding covenants with the devil, selling out their soul to his satanic majesty so as to succeed in their evil enterprises. We lift up hands to Heaven singing “I surrender all,” yet in reality we are not prepared to give away anything.

But as I continued in that covenant of holiness, I soon discovered the real battle is not in overcoming the outward acts of immorality, but in overcoming the eruption of lust brewing up on the inside. This led me to a second covenant, the covenant of Job. This is a covenant I enter on a monthly basis. As such, every new month I vow not to look upon anything pornographic in content. Not to fantasise on any sexual act and not to engage in masturbation.

The eye is a light for the body. If your eyes are good (pure), your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. Matthew 6:22-23NCV.

This scripture spells it out clearly. It’s all about what you are looking at on a daily basis.

THINK AND LOVE THE WORD AND NOT THE WORLD
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world.” 1 John 2:15-16

The things you think about matter a whole lot. What you allow your mind to dwell on is what you will eventually become. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7.
