Today, people are giving up because of the present circumstances. The condition is becoming unbearable in the country. Families and businesses are faced with great losses instead of profits.

“And when they had done this, they enclosed a great shoal of fish, and as their nets were breaking, they beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.” (Luke 5:6-7)

Today, people are giving up because of the present circumstances. The condition is becoming unbearable in the country.

Families and businesses are faced with great losses instead of profits. The disciples of Jesus Christ, under Captain of Peter, were faced with similar situation in their profession. These were expert fishermen, but they could not handle the challenge because it was beyond their knowledge and ability.

God has given us the ability and knowledge to solve some life-threatening problems, but at times, He uses our weakness and disability to look unto Him for absolute solution.

When you are faced with unresolved problems, don’t throw in the towel. Peter said in verse 5, “Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing…” Never give up when waiting for a breakthrough. Your efforts may not be appreciated, but still keep on pressing on. You have applied all methods to maintain your family relationship, but things are not working out; don’t give up yet. Your business is facing financial crunch; still don’t give up yet. You have a wayward child, and you have been working on him or her but no improvement, never give up. You have been married for years without the blessings of the womb? It is not too late; don’t give up yet. This month of October will be another period of overcoming your life challenges.

The next thing that will keep you going is that you should go by His direction. “Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.” (John 21:6) Our way is not God’s way. Change your direction and see what God will do in your life. Until you change your direction, you will not see God in action. God’s direction is the best and the only solution to unending problems. Let our leaders change the direction of bringing solution to Nigeria problems than politicking. May God put an end to all our fruitless labour in life! Amen.
