The General Overseer of God’s Mercy Revival Ministries (GOMERM), Ikotun, Lagos, Dr. James Akanbi has assured participants of this year’s Zion 2022 Power Conference of attaining greater heights as long as they remain faithful to God and also continue with the church.
Describing higher ground as a place of power, the General Overseer said that God is taking His children to a higher level of new experience. He cited Abraham, Joseph, Samuel and Gideon, among others, as people who attained outstanding heights designed for them by God.
The cleric who ministered recently at the end of the church’s week-long programme, with the theme, “Higher Ground Life: Time To Break Boundaries,” held at one of the GOMERM’s branches in Ikotun, Lagos, said God’s expectation is to lift up those who have affinity with Him, adding that they should not believe whatever the devil might be saying concerning them, but should believe God who has the final authority over their lives.
Akanbi who observed that God has been faithful these 23 years of the church said that the ministry started in 1999 with only 12 people, but today, it has 100 branches in seven countries of the world.
He said: “As a denomination, GOMERM has continued to move from strength to strength. On the whole, we truly have a lot to be thankful and grateful for as a body of Christ! God’s kindness is being expressed not just at the corporate level or at the regional, zonal and branch levels, but also at the family and individual levels.”
Members of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and other servants of God including members from different branches of the church as well as non-members witnessed the service during which the church rewarded dedication and commitment to duty of some members.
