For members and friends of the Gods Kingdom Society (GKS) –The Church of the Living God, it was another time of spiritual revival at the 2022 Feast of Tabernacles.

The congregants converged at the newly constructed Saint Urhobo Square, Salem City, Warri, Delta State, for the yearly eight-day festival. The event was streamed online via the various Internet platforms of the Church.

Since 2019, this was the first time members would be physically present in a large number to celebrate the feast. Many of the congregants followed the feast online for the year 2020 and 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

President of the Church, Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun, delivering his address entitled: “The World Before The Judgment Seat Of God Almighty” described God’s judgment seat as an act through which God expresses and exercises His authority and judicial determinations on the people of the world.

He noted that the holy seat came as a result of the fall of man at the Garden of Eden, adding that Jesus Christ alongside the anointed Christians and the saints, numbering 144,000 have been appointed to judge the activities of man on the earth on the last day.

He disclosed that one of the purposes of Christ’s second coming is to judge both the living and the dead. Brother Adedokun revealed that the period of punishment for each of the unjust persons would be 100 years, at the end of which those who prove obedient to God would be given eternal life, while the disobedient ones will be sentenced to the second death that is everlasting destruction.

Quoting Isaiah 28:21, Zephaniah 1:14-18, Matthew 24: 21 and 1 Corinthians 15:26, he said: “Those who refuse to pay heed to the gospel and continue in their evil will have themselves to blame on the day of reckoning when God will severely punish the world at the Great Tribulation, which will be climaxed by the Battle of the Great Day of God Almighty — the strange act of God — when all the wicked, including the devil, will be destroyed.”

He charged the celebrants to obey and serve God with humility and sincerity now that they are alive and have the opportunity to do so, adding that obedience to God’s words will draw them nearer to God’s grace and favour.

Ahead of the 2023 polls, he advised politicians to have the fear of God and be honest, saying that the church is praying to God to give the nation someone who will fear Him.

The Vice President, Brother T. M. Ekiseowei disclosed that over N200 million have been spent on the new cathedral.
