Enugu State will come alive on April 12, 2018, as the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement (the evangelical arm of Voice of the Last Days Ministry Inc.) holds its crusade with the theme: “Bringing Enugu State on the Hilltop” at the Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, at 3pm daily.

At a press briefing in Lagos to herald the event, the church leaders, Chairman of the programme’s Central Working Committee (CWC), Pastor (Dr.) Chris Ebo, and the Director of Theatre Media of the ministry, Pastor Mike Iheanacho, said the church is expecting Governor Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi and traditional rulers, among others.

Pastor Ebo explained that the General Superintendent of the church, Pastor Aloysius Chukwuemeka Ohanebo, received God’s mandate to hold the divine project in 1998. “Our GS wasted no time in announcing this to his congregation.

Since then, the church has been waiting and preparing, until God by His Spirit indicated in January this year that the time for the execution is now,” he said.

While urging Enugu people and Nigerians to attend the event, the cleric said: “The main Enugu signifies the hilltop and people of Enugu State in God’s programme are meant to be placed on a hill proper.

The hill showcases a number of things. Essentially, when they are placed on a hill with God, many things, such as salvation, healing, deliverance, revival and restoration, among others, will occur in their individual lives, families and businesses, as well as in the state.

“We know that the name signifies they are on a hill, but there is a hill they are supposed to be in their physical and spiritual life and that is why this crusade is coming at this time to change certain things in the condition of people and the state. It is also in fulfilment of this divine order that the church is mobilising 20, 000 men and women of its work force to Enugu to sensitise and publicise it.”

Iheanacho said the church has held several crusades in Mbaise, Abakaliki, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Lagos and others places before.

“Enugu is very strategic because of its political history. So, 20 years after, the Lord is saying it is time. He must have His reasons for that. This programme is going to have far-reaching effect on people of Enugu State, South East and Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, the church has made adequate transport arrangements to convey worshippers from various spots in Enugu and the neighbouring communities to and from the venue, as the crusade ends on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
