Whoever believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God is justified by faith and hence belongs to Christ. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise. (Gal 3:29). This qualifies you to have every good thing in Heaven and on Earth, as promised by Go. This includes blessings of wealth, long life, peace and prosperity. These are the cravings of all men. The good news here is that you don’t need to struggle by self efforts to achieve this, as God has already prepared a perfect inheritance for us all. But there is a process to becoming a true and qualified heir.

The Birth Of A Kingdom Heir
Believing is just a state of conception, but to be finally born into the Kingdom of God, you have to be born of the Spirit. This simply happens when you are obedient enough to be baptised with water and the Spirit. (Jn. 3:3-5) Jesus said, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus saith unto him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.’ This is a clear indication that, if a man is not baptised, he can never enter into the kingdom.

Unlike Jesus Who was baptised by John, John himself was never baptised, though he baptised many. Hence, Jesus referred to him as lesser than the least person in the kingdom. (Mat 11:11) Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding that he is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. This really speaks volume of the criteria for spiritual birth; it’s not by works but by baptism. (Gal 3:27) For as many of you as have been baptised into Christ have put on Christ.

Through baptism, you have been born by the spirit and once you are born, you have become a child of the Kingdom and a joint heir with Him (Romans 8:17) and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ…. If you are not baptized, no matter how righteous you think you are, you are not born of the spirit, and that itself is an act of disobedience. GET BAPTISED TODAY.

Growing stage
Just like every newborn baby needs nurturing, so also does a newborn in the spirit. He will need to be close to the things of the Spirit to be Nursed and breastfed with the sincere milk. (1Pe 2:2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word; that ye may grow thereby: Hearing and studying the word will ensure you have a good and enough good to help you grow into maturity. In this formative period, you need to stay as close as possible to the spirit of God to get you built up in your faith.

But you don’t have to be continually in a sucking state. The more you grow in the spirit, the more the fleshy part of you dies. (1Co 3:2) I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. It’s important you grow as fast as possible, because you can only qualify to take your inheritance, when you are fully grown. (Gal 4:1-2) The heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.
