Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 6:2, “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (KJV)

One of the greatest deceptions of human existence is the illusion of “tomorrow.” We treat tomorrow as if it is a guaranteed possession, a vast bank account of time that will never run dry. We tell ourselves, “I will decide for Christ tomorrow. I will quit that sinful habit tomorrow. I will surrender my life to God tomorrow.” If there is one strategy the enemy uses more than any other to keep people from the fullness of God, it is to convince them that tomorrow is not late.

Procrastination is harmless when it comes to chores, but it is fatal when it comes to eternity. The Apostle Paul, writing to the church at Corinth, sounds a spiritual alarm. He does not say salvation will be easier next year. He does not say God will be more loving after you get your life together. He declares with absolute urgency: Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Today, we must confront the urgency of God’s grace. Grace is not a static concept to be stored away for a rainy day. It is a living, breathing, immediate invitation from the Creator of the universe.

To understand the urgency, we must understand what the “accepted time” actually means. In the original Greek text, the word used for “accepted” carries the meaning of a highly favourable season—a time of extraordinary delight, goodwill, and divine favour. Right now, the doors of Heaven’s throne room are wide open. God is not hiding behind a veil of wrath; He is extending the scepter of His mercy. The “accepted time” means that God is actively ready to receive you, forgive you, heal you, and transform your life right this second. Relying on tomorrow is a gamble because the Bible warns us in Proverbs 27:1, “Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” Life is fragile.

We are not promised another heartbeat. The rich fool in Luke 12:16-21 built bigger barns and planned for decades, but God said, “This night thy soul shall be required of thee.” In Noah’s time, people watched the ark being built for decades. They assumed they had time and went about their businesses, laughing off the warnings, until the day came when God shut the door (Genesis 7:16). Do not wait for the door of grace to close before you realise the value of the Ark.

Why is God so insistent on the word “now”? Because “now” is the only space where life actually happens.

You cannot repent in the past, and you cannot serve God in the future. You can only live, choose, and believe right now.

If you do not know Christ, the clock is ticking, and today is your moment of salvation. Now implies that you can step out of darkness and into the marvelous light of salvation. •Today’s Nugget: The favourable Season is now.Prayer: Lord Jesus come into my life now. Every heartbeat is a gift from God, but it is not a legal guarantee of another one.

We do not own tomorrow, butwe only own this urgent moment called now. God’s grace is not exhausted, but the time to respond to it is limited. If you feel a stirring in your soul today, do not ignore it. Do not push it off to tomorrow or next week. The Saviour is calling. The favourable season is here.
