Nwokolo inducts Onukegbe, urges Ogidi community to embrace Christ
In line with the cardinal vision of the Diocese on the Niger, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) to expand the gospel, the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Reverend Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo recently visited St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Ogidi, Anambra State, where he inducted Reverend Cannon Alex Ugochukwu Onukegbe as the Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Ogidi (Ogidi Archdeaconry).
In his sermon, the Bishop charged the people of Ogidi to embrace Jesus as their Lord and personal Saviour. He also enjoined the Ogidi Christian community to desist from evil and serve God faithfully.
Reminding the congregation what Christ expects from them, Bishop Nwokolo said: “Many people have heard about Jesus Christ and the power in His name both in salvation, miracles with signs and wonders, but yet they have not had personal encounter with Christ. What Christ is expecting from us is that we may know Him the more.”
He went further to admonish the parishioners and the congregation to embrace Christ now that the door of salvation is still open to all men.
