Oladiyun appreciates God, as CLAM begins 25th anniversary tomorrow
The Senior Pastor of Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Wole Oladiyun, is appreciating God for His mercy on his ministry, saying the God factor is the nucleus of all success stories.
Pastor Oladiyun said this at a press briefing in Lagos to mark the church’s 25th anniversary beginning from tomorrow, Monday, December 4 to10 at the church’s headquarters in Omole, Lagos.
He said: “That we are still standing strong after 25 years is an indication of God’s abundant grace in our lives. If not God, who else? Romans 9:16 (NKJV) says, so then, it is not of him, who wills nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Equally, Psalm 127:1 reminds us that unless the Lord builds the house, its’ builders labour in vain.
“No matter how hard we work, or how diligent we are, we need that divine touch to succeed. This is validated in 1Corinthians 3: 6-9 where Apostle Paul said: I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So, it is neither he who plants nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
“ We do not claim to be perfect or to be the best because we are not infallible, but we are proud to say we are products of God’s grace. We have been planting and nurturing for the past 25 years, and God has graciously watered us to the extent that I sometimes ask God, “what have we done to deserve these blessings?” he said.
Narrating CLAM story, Oladiyun disclosed that the church started on April 2, 1998 with nothing on the ground, saying there was no worship venue, no music equipment, and no appreciable congregation. He stressing that it was a humble beginning for him because he was sure of the call and was focused on the assignment God gave to him.
“Things were very difficult that my wife at a point asked me to be very sure God if God actually gave me the assignment. She was not doubting God or trying to jump the ship, but it was normal as human beings to be sure of what one’s partner is doing.
It would interest you to know that my wife has remained my source of strength and inspiration. Without a wife such as Pastor Bukola Oladiyun, I would not have come this far in the ministry.
“I cannot possibly intimate you with the multifarious challenges that we battled as we tried to steady the ship of the ministry. But to the glory of God today, the story of CLAM can be summarised with Joshua 21:45, ‘not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel, all came to pass. God has indeed been our present help in times of need.”’
