Olaoye urges Anglican faithful to appreciate God, as OMOMAC clocks 10

The Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Osun North Diocese, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Reverend Abiodun Olaoye, has reminded members of the church of Oba Moses Oyinlola Memorial Anglican Church (OMOMAC), Osun North Diocese to worship, praise, and appreciate God for His benevolence. The Archbishop disclosed this at the 10th anniversary of OMOMAC.
Speaking on the topic: “Appreciating God For His Goodness,” taken from Psalm 103:1-5, Olaoye appreciated the founding fathers of the church and everyone that has contributed to the growth and development of the parish.
He enjoined the parishioners to continue to give their resources to promote God’s work in the parish, saying that their labour of love will never be in vain.
According to the Vicar, the parish was dedicated to God on March 9, 2013 by the immediate past Primate of the Church of Nigeria, His Grace, Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh.
The four-day programme, which started on March 9, 2023 with the service of the Holy Eucharist, ended last Sunday with a Thanksgiving and praise to God.
The highlight of the event included the giving of awards to the pioneer Bishop of the Diocese, His Grace and Mama Ibadan Province, Most Reverend Abiodun Taiwo Olaoye and his wife, Theresa Omolara Olaoye. Reverend Olaoye laid the foundation of the church on February 3, 2011. The former Olokuku of Okuku, the late Oba Moses Oyinlola was also given a posthumous award.
Dignitaries at the event were: members of the House of Clergy; former military administrator of Lagos State and former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who is the pioneer Baba Ijo of OMOMAC; Chairman of the Planning Committee, Prince Adetoyese Oyinlola; the Chancellor of the Diocese and pioneer Iya Ijo of OMOMAC, Chief Funlayo Adebisi Oyinlola;
Others included: the first Vicar of the parish and his wife, Rev. Canon and Mrs. James O. Adesoye; the second Ven. and Mrs. Simeon O. Babawale and third Rev. Canon and Mrs. Charles O. Ademilokun.
