Genesis 32:26 “And He said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said I WILL NOT LET THEE GO, EXCEPT THOU BLESS ME”. Isaiah 44:3 “For I will pour water UPON HIM THAT IS THIRSTY, and floods upon the DRY GROUND: I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring.”

Life does not necessarily give us what we deserve. Life only gives us what we demand. That is why it is important to engage in strategic prophetic prayers. (He that asketh receiveth). When we keep quiet about any situation, the situation will be quiet. Not every closed door is locked. And another push will fling the door open. The place of prayer in our lives cannot be substituted. We must push, that is “PRAY UNTIL THE SUPERNATURAL HAPPENS”. Jacob, the grandson of Abraham realised that the status quo ante of poverty and lack would continue if he did not press for a change. He held God firmly in a prayer-wrestling contest. He demanded his inalienable rights to be blessed as the seed of Abraham. He wrestled until the breaking of the day to secure his breakthrough in life.

“I WILL NOT LET THEE GO, EXCEPT THOU BLESS ME”. This one night encounter of prayer and intercession changed Jacob’s destiny. Jabez would have remained Jabesh (Son of sorrow) if he did not press for a change in his life. 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 “And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! AND GOD GRANTED HIM THAT which he requested.” Jabesh eventually became the most honourable in his family. Prophet Elijah refused to remain in the realm of only hearing the sound of the abundance of rain. He went up to Mount Carmel to press for actual rain. He converted his expectation to manifestation, through aggressive intercession. Bartimeus refused to keep quiet, when JESUS the Messiah and the Anointed One came to his immediate environment – Jericho. He knew that the critical moment for his change had come. He cried out to JESUS and his blindness was removed.

The enemy of change is complacency and despondency. Change agents always fight stagnation and negative tradition. The ball is in your court. God has given us certified open cheque to ask and receive. Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. FOR EVERY ONE THAT ASKETH RECEIVETH; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”. All through contemporary history, men and women, who brought about meaningful and positive change, did not accept the tradition of mediocrity, limitation, oppression etc. They fought until they effected the metamorphosis. Despite the negative trends all over the world, we can be change agents in our own lives, family, community etc. Rise up and press for a positive change in your life. James 5:16 AMP “THE EARNEST HEARTFELT, continued PRAYER OF a righteous man MAKES TREMENDOUS POWER AVAILABLE, DYNAMIC IN ITS WORKING”. Get up and PUSH. Your dream will be realised.

PRAYER: Today, I refuse to take NO for an answer. I call on the God of Israel, the God and Father of my LORD JESUS. I receive God’s Grace to effect positive changes in my life. In JESUS Mighty Name, my positive change has come. Amen.
