The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, has called on Christians to remain faithful to their calling, saying that the foundation of their faith started from the time of old.

He noted that certain things are fundamental to the believer’s faith, stressing that it is not everything that the believer should admire, no matter how good they may appear.

According to him, Moses decided to suffer affliction with the children of Israel than to enjoy the pleasures of Egypt, or be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter because he wanted to preserve faith in God.

The General Superintendent said this, last Sunday, at the Combined Service with the theme: “Supernatural Freedom Through Scriptural Faith” held at the church’s headquarters, Gbagada, Lagos. He also cited Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who controlled themselves by refusing to eat King Nebuchadnezzar’s meal.

As Christians, he said they should do everything possible to protect their faith and walk with the Lord.

While urging Christians to seek the power of the Holy Ghost like Stephen, Kumuyi lamented that Christians nowadays are always in a hurry to go home after hearing the pastor’s message, a habit he said had produced weak and prayerless Christians.
He, therefore, enjoined them to tarry in the presence of God and pray fervently for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is able to make them giants and champions.
The members of the church, The Guardian gathered are still celebrating the second anniversary of Global Crusade With Kumuyi (GCK), the outreach, which has brought over 150,000 souls into God’s kingdom since it started in 2021.
