General Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN), Pastor Samuel Sanusi, has called on the various churches and members to support the BSN in its drive to make the word an indispensable tool for nation building, available and affordable for Nigerians.
He noted that BSN, a member of United Bible Societies with its presence in 240 countries, has translated the Holy Bible into 27 Nigerian languages and currently working on nine different translation/revision projects at a cost of N150 million each.
Sanusi made the call at the announcement of the 11th edition of African Leadership Biblical Initiative (ABLI) Conference with theme: “Value-based Leadership: Model for Africa” scheduled to hold on Monday, October 21- 24, 2024 at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Conference Centre, Abuja from 9.00am daily.
Sanusi revealed that the chairman is Chief OlusegunObasanjo, while the First Lady, OluremiTinubu, will be the special guest of honour.
He named other guests to include, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Dr. Good Luck Jonathan among others while keynote speakers would be the former Chief Justice of South Africa, MogoengMogoeng, and the Founder/Chief Executive, Carmel Global Capital, New York, Dr. Zienzi Dillon.
Sanusi called on African leaders to shun greed, corruption and develop the continent.
He also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make all refineries in Nigeria to work again and to stop the importation of fuel to strengthen the value of naira.
According to Sanusi, ABLI Forum, which has been held in10 different African countries, is apolitical and non-denominational organisation that seeks to bring about personal and cultural transformation through informed leadership that is guided by biblical values.
