That all may be saved

General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Worldwide, Pastor Lazarus Muoka admonishing the youth during the yearly international youth programme held at the church’s headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos…recently

John 3:16-18: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

The primary purpose of our Lord Jesus Christ’s advent into this physical earth is for the salvation of mankind; the people who have been held captive by sin as a result of the loss of the kingdom to the devil. The intrusion of the devil into the affairs of man was to usurp power from man and commit him into the sin of disobedience to the word of God. Man, having fallen to the antics of the devil, has continued to suffer because he has been estranged from God. At the time man was ejected from the Garden of Eden and began to multiply to replenish the earth, he was doing it outside God’s will. Sin was ruling the world to the extent that killing, homosexuality, man’s inhumanity to man, among others, was the order the day. Life on earth was characterised by evil doings, to the level that God even regretted creating man(Gen.6v5-6).

However, because of God’s love for man, He designed a way for his redemption. Heb.9v22 says: “And according to the law, almost all things are purified with the blood, and without shedding of blood is no remission.”He sent his only begotten son to die by shedding his blood for man, as a propitiation for the sins of the world, thus bringing salvation to all.

In the lead scripture above, the Bible says that God loves mankind so much that He gave His only son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. God has sent His son — Jesus Christ, for the deliverance of mankind from the bondage of sin, so that, all may be saved and the lost kingdom reclaimed.

In His move to reclaim the lost kingdom He set out to indoctrinate the people of the earth by changing their mindset to know the will of God and also do them. Hence, in the street of Galilee, according to Matthew 4:17-19, He declared:“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.18: And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.19: And he saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ has come for the reclaiming of the lost kingdom and also introduce heaven culture, which Adam failed to embrace at the Garden of Eden, to the world. The first step into the salvation of soul is repentance. When one repents and embraces God, his or her mindset is changed and he begins to see things from the perspective of God and heaven’skingdom.

Humans, acting the script of the devil, populated the earth tillJesus Christ came with salvation message. Jesus Christ, therefore, chargedHis disciples in Mark 16:15-18, saying:“And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16: He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.17: And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. 18: They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ came for the salvation of all human, who dwell on earth. This command of preaching the gospel is for the living, it is expected that as long as the grace is available, all human beings on earth should repent, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and begin a race that will end in heaven when the rapture of the saints take place. On the day of this great event the church is waiting for, the trumpet will sound and our Lord Jesus Christ will appear in the air, and all the saints both the dead and the living will rise to meet Him in the air.

From that moment, they will stay with the Lord to part no more. Whosoever partakes in the rapture of the saints has been saved, as he or she will live with Christ forever. We should all be encouraged with this knowledge in our Christian race. Apostle Paul has this for the church in Corinth and for the disciples of the Lord in 1Corinthians 10:31-33 saying:“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.32: Give none offence, neither to the Jews nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God. 33: Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many that they may be saved.”

Every effort, therefore, should be made towards the salvation of souls because the purpose of our presence on earth is to attain perfection in preparation for the marriage of the church with our Lord Jesus Christ. It will, therefore, be an effort in futility if after living on this earth we fail to meet with Christ at the end of this life. Whatsoever we do should be to the glory of God. The great disciple Matthew even advised that we seek the kingdom of God first and his righteousness and all other things we are labouringfor, shall be added to us.The gospel, therefore, is being preached that all will hear it and repent from their sins. It is the message of repentance our Lord Jesus Christ started preaching at the commencement of His ministryon the streets of Galilee.

We should, therefore, look unto Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith and believe in Him for our salvation. It is on this premise that the great Apostle Paul told the church in Rome and to all Christians in Romans 10:13 saying: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” He is currently knocking at the door of the heart of everyone asking for the permission to enter and your duty is to open your heart and accept Him. He will come inand grant you freedom from the bondage of sin and also, prepare you for the rapture of the saints.

Remember, Jesus Christ died that you might live. And it is not his will that any soul should perish, but that all will come to repentance, including you!So, make haste, while there is time. Mk 8v36-37: “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and loses his own soul or what shall a man give in exchange of his soul?”
