“And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy Soul” (Deut 10:12).
GOD helps us to deal with one of the issues that are crucial to God, “Fear of God.” This is the beginning of every successful Christian life.

The next of its kind is found in the passage read, “to walk in all His ways.” The ways of God are not our ways, neither is His thought our thought. In living holy life, God has a way. In the act of worship, God has a way. In blessings and breakthrough, God has a way. Therefore, He demands that humanity walk in His way and not our ways. When God called Abraham, even at the age of ninety-nine, He said “…I am the Almighty God, walk before me, and be thou perfect” (Gen 17:1).

Walking in His ways calls for focusing on Him, paying attention to the potholes on the way: and discipline of our mind and body. Distractions will come from every angle of life, but following His example and following His track will keep us moving in the journey of life. Jesus has laid the foundation; He said, “I am the way and the truth and life” (John 14:6).

The way of perfection is through Jesus Christ alone. The way to eternity is through Jesus alone. The way to righteous living cannot be achieved through personal efforts, but because He has imputed His righteousness in us, we can be righteous in all things. “The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked” (1John 2:6)

God re- emphasised to the Israelites on the necessity to walk in His way as a prerequisite to entering the Promised Land and to be prosper in the land. “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.” (Deut. 28:9)

God is not joking, when it comes to the issue of walking in His ways, as all other ways designed by man are ways of destruction and death. The question to ask is: Are you walking in His direction in your daily activities? Are you leading like Jesus? If your way is not His way, kindly take a new decision to walk in all His ways, so He can prosper your way.
