Three levels of encounter with Christ of christmas: the saviour, the christ and the lord

Luke 2: 10-11 “AND THE ANGEL SAID UNTO THEM, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be TO ALL PEOPLE; For UNTO YOU is born this day in the CITY OF DAVID a SAVIOUR, which is CHRIST the LORD.” Isaiah 9: 6-10 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a SON IS GIVEN: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELLOR, The MIGHTY GOD, The EVERLASTING FATHER, The PRINCE OF PEACE; OF THE INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT AND PEACE THERE SHALL BE NO END, UPON THE THRONE of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Within the Christian community, Christmas has always witnessed global celebrations. Everything about Christmas is unique and splendid. The weather, the atmosphere, the goodwill messages, etc are always scintillating and contagious. The birth of CHRIST on earth has always been an unusual historical phenomenon. At Christmas, God became man – DIVINITY BECAME HUMANITY, so that the sons of men will now become the SONS OF GOD.

Obviously, life would have been empty, insipid and void without God becoming incarnate. Since the fall of man, man has been under satanic oppression, slavery and bondage. At Christmas, the age-long promise of the Kinsman Redeemer, Liberator, Deliverer, Saviour, and Messiah was fulfilled and became a visible reality. God became flesh, tabernacled amongst us so as to provide eternal redemption for all of us.

There are THREE LEVELS of encounters we must have with the CHRIST of Christmas to make the celebration of Christmas meaningful and purposeful in our lives. The angels declared in Luke 2:11 that “FOR UNTO YOU is BORN THIS DAY in the city of David a SAVIOUR, which is CHRIST the LORD”.

The birth of CHRIST must be a PERSONAL ISSUE in the life of everyone of us. Until CHRIST is appropriated PERSONALLY, His redemptive work will not be realisable in our lives. The angel unveiled to us in the Annunciation that JESUS of Christmas is (1) The SAVIOUR (2) The CHRIST (3) And the LORD.

Today, everyone must personally receive JESUS as the AUTHORISED SAVIOUR of mankind. He is the only One who has the authority and power to save every one of us from sin, sickness, disease and satanic oppression. JESUS is the ATONING SACRIFICE for ALL our sins.

(2) The JESUS of Christmas is THE MESSIAH, THE CHRIST OF GOD, whose Anointing is unlimited to liberate. He is the MOST ANOINTED ONE, whose Anointing destroys every yoke of bondage. We must individually receive the CHRIST into our lives, to destroy every yoke in all ramifications.

(3) The JESUS of Christmas went to the Cross and died. He was buried and God raised Him up from the dead. He is the LORD of all. He must rule and reign in our lives AS LORD. We become COMPLETELY FREE, when He rules and reigns in our lives.

Today, personally experience and encounter the JESUS of Christmas as your PERSONAL SAVIOUR, PERSONAL MESSIAH AND PERSONAL LORD of your life.
