What your pastor never told you about the Old Testament – Part 8

The intertestamental revelations about Jesus the Saviour (Isa 9:6; Mt 1:21) and the Bible as the drama of God’s redemptive purpose for man’s salvation have clearly shown that of all the intellectual faculties, judgment is the last to arrive at maturity.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine…” Acts 2:42
The intertestamental revelations about Jesus the Saviour (Isa 9:6; Mt 1:21) and the Bible as the drama of God’s redemptive purpose for man’s salvation have clearly shown that of all the intellectual faculties, judgment is the last to arrive at maturity.

This explains why it so frequently happens that, after a long course of studying the Scriptures, we enter upon the dynamics of conscience, opinion and imagination partly with an artless ignorance of spiritual stance, partly with wrong notions about the Scriptures: so that our mortal disposition savours at one moment of a nervous confusion, at another of a mistaken confidence – 2Tim 3:7; Mt 15:7-9.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works,” (2Tim 3:16-17). Read also 2Pet 1:20-21. God has spoken, yet men interpret the Scripture to suit their own social and economic involvement – BLIND JUDGMENT OF DIVINE WISDOM!!

The Bible has now been relegated to the background and the doctrines, so-called miracles and decrees of men are given preeminence – (Mt 15:7-9; 24:5, 24).
“For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, and from his mouth men should seek instruction – because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty. But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty. “So I have caused you to be despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality in matters of the Law – (Mal 2:7-9 NIV).

The above excerpt reveals the exact dispositions of some of today’s so-called men of God. How then can “That the man of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished into all good works,” (2Tim 3:16-17) be actualised? Is it not a reality that some of them daily dish out NON-SCRIPTURE-BASED SALVATION to their ever gullible teeming followers? The Scripture clearly states that “For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus CHRIST, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple,” (Rom 16:18; I Tim 4:1-3).

This is BLIND JUDGMENT OF DIVINE WISDOM – (Isa 59:14; Mt 16:26).
All Bible excerpts are from the KJV.
