Isaiah 6:6-8: “Then flew one of the Seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. 7: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
It is surprising to know that, even, in the earth where Christian worship centres are everywhere, and pastors, evangelists and other preachers of the gospel so many, yet there are many people who have not heard about Jesus Christ and the purpose of His first advent. They are wallowing in ignorance and not knowing the benefits of meeting Christ as a messiah and a deliverer of their soul from the bondage of the devil. To such people and, as far as, the good tidings is concerned, they have nobody to lead them to Jesus Christ. In Israel, our Lord Jesus Christ was everywhere during His earthly ministry. He was healing people of all kinds of sickness and diseases, bringing the dead back to life and delivering the afflicted from the bondage of the devil, yet the man at the pool of Bethesda never encountered Him. Hence, when luck shined on him as reported in John 5:2-9, he said this: “Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3: In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4: For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5: And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6: When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7: The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8: Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9: And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the Sabbath.”
There are people who are hungry of hearing the message of salvation of their souls, but nobody has spoken to them about the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ and the saving grace He is offering to mankind. To such people, they have no man to help them out of their bondage of sin; just like the sick man at the pool of Bethesda said. They are in great need of assistance. This is applicable to the preaching of the gospel to the perishing souls anywhere they are. There is the need for someone to stand in the gap to bring this message of salvation to them.
As it is now, the time is short and nobody knows when the trumpet will sound for the rapture of the saints. As soon as the trumpet sounds and the saints are taken up, the grace of salvation will cease and the anti-Christ will take over the earth. Who is ready to stand in the gap and take the gospel to them that are yet to be saved. Ezekiel 22:29-30 says: “The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. 30: And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”
The scripture above is a clear evidence that God is not interested in the death and destruction of sinners. The mind of God is that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (Jesus Christ.), embrace our Lord Jesus Christ and be delivered and saved from the bondage of sin. Notwithstanding the level of wickedness of any man or even a race or group of people, God wants them saved from their sins and to come back to Him at the end of life on earth.
It should be noted that Christ stood in the gap when he offered to die for the salvation of mankind. In His first advent on earth, he announced the reclaiming of the lost kingdom by setting the ball rolling, urging every man to repent and come back to God. After recruiting His disciples and indoctrinating them as a church, He gave a marching order in Mark16:15-16 instructing them thus: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16: He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” He has commissioned all the disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel to all creatures. It is by preaching to them that they will hear and repent. Every disciple of Jesus Christ has a duty of preaching the gospel to people in season and out of season. Remember, our Lord Jesus Christ offered Himself to be sent to the world to stand in the gap between the perishing soul and God. He reclaimed the lost kingdom and equally died for the sin of humanity.
Prophet Isaiah in his own time offered himself to be sent to the world. He came and did the work of a prophet by preaching to the people of his generation and people repented through his message and prophecies. Today, God is asking for who will stand in the gap. There is a clarion call for evangelists, teachers and preachers to take the message of salvation to the perishing world, so that, they will repent. There are people who are still crying today, they have no man to lead them to Christ and to make them to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
The time of sitting on the fence is over because there is no more time. Nobody knows when the trumpet shall sound and the rapture will take place. Therefore, launch into the deep and seek for the lost and perishing souls; preach the message of salvation to them and leave the rest to God.
Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
G.O. Said, ‘God Intervene,’ And Truly He Did
Sister Joy Joseph resides in Malaysia. She joined The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries in 2007. In her testimony, Sister Joseph said she submitted an application at the Malaysian Embassy, but it was delayed. One day, according to her, she was at the church’s headquarters in Lagos, and suddenly she saw the General Overseer about to go out, people rushed to see him for prayers and she took her children to join them. She explained her case to G.O. who pointed his finger at her forehead and said, “God intervene.”
Our beloved Sister Joseph, who was surprised at the turn of events, said: “Few minutes after the prayer, the embassy called me and granted my request. Praise the Lord!”
She also testified that a particular company owed her some money, but insisted that she would only be paid if she comes back to Malaysia.
In her words, she said: “To my greatest surprise, that same day G.O. said, ‘God intervene,’ the company paid the money into my account. Praise the Lord!
“Brethren, The Lord’s Chosen is a mountain on top of mountains, it might interest you to know that during the COVID-19 pandemic it was only the Lord’s Chosen that was operating in Malaysia, while other churches closed down and went online, but in Chosen, we were having our physical meetings and services. Praise the Lord!
“Moreover, my family has been giving birth to female children, but God helped me to give birth to a male child in Jesus’ name. G.O prayed and cancelled the affliction that came upon me as a result of breaking the yoke of giving birth to females and it disappeared from me. Praise the Lord! God of Chosen is great.
“I pray toGod to continually guide our G.O., fulfill his ministry and to make heaven after here. She also prayed for all Chosen members across the world to make heaven in Jesus’ name…amen!”
