Brethren, I want you to understand that any person not living in Christ is living in the flesh, which is by extension living in sin and as a result living for Satan. The person no doubt is prone to danger, because he/she cannot avoid crisis cum troubles, as a result of being devoid of the divine protection that comes from the Lord to genuine believers of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 16:33 says, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ in the above context declares the inevitable necessity of the world’s woe. He made us to understand that, while we have to do with the men of the world, while we have anything to do with the things of the world, and, while we live in the world, we must encounter trouble, both from within and without, from friends and foes, heart-breaking troubles, soul-rending troubles, traumatic emotional problem, such that will make the heart to break, and the back to bend.

Nevertheless, amidst these crises, those genuinely living for Christ are assured of peace and protection from heaven that guarantees victory. But anyone not in Christ suffers many tribulations, crises, and troubles and there is no safety anywhere for such person.

It is a great comfort to those living for Christ to know that in the midst of all the troubles of this world, Christ has overcome the world, that is, all the things in the world, which may hinder their comfort, consolation, eternal happiness and salvation hereafter. By His death and resurrection, He has conquered the princes of the world, the rulers of the world, the wicked men of the world, the troubles of the world, the temptations of the world and the corruptions that are in the world. And having conquered the world, all persons and things in it are at His disposal, and can do nothing but by His permission. Above all, those living for Christ have divinely been furnished with the means of overcoming all their enemies, and triumphing in all their temptations. I would, therefore, urge you to live for Christ and in Christ and it shall be well with you in Jesus name.

Beloved it is important to know that, if one is not for Christ, he or she is for Satan and would be living for the devil. This type of people can never win any soul for the Kingdom of heaven. They may be going to church and claiming to be born again, but in spite of what they are confessing, they are willing to tell lies and do everything contrary to the truth and the will of God. Consequently, they can never enter God’s kingdom, which is rather unfortunate because it is certainly not the wish of God for anyone not to make heaven. Some of these people even create divisions in the house of God, because they are not knowledgeable in Christian doctrine to comprehend the higher mysteries of the gospel, while some indulge in strife and contentions. Some put one leg in Church and the other leg in kindred or market associations, where they enter into agreement with evildoers. This class of people will see no reason why men should not marry two wives, sorcerers should not be consulted in any matter or somebody should forgive his neighbour. So, my prayer for such people is that, through this message, they will retrace their steps and surrender totally to God’s Will in Jesus name. This is because the Scripture says all those who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

1Cor. 3:1-4 says, “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?”

If you lay claim to living for Christ and at the same time have the penchant of indulging in divisions and strife, it is an indication that you are yet, to some degree, under sinful influences, which control people living for the devil. If you are not living for Christ, there is every likelihood you will evince a spirit of strife, emulation, and contention. So, as many who claim they are Christians, but continue to live in sin should take advantage of this message and surrender their lives totally to Jesus Christ and also begin to live their lives for Christ Jesus. If you claim to live for Christ, then your light should shine before men, so that they would know you are for Him and give glory to God. If nobody has glorified God because of what you did or said, it means you are not living for Him.

Wonderful Work Of God
Twelve-Year Broken Marriage Reunited
MY name is Bro Sunday Nweze and my wife is Sis Ebere Nweze. I joined the Lord’s Chosen Ministry in 2014, but while I was in the world, I was into drinking and smoking both cigarette and Indian hemp. And this negative habit cost me a lot, including being unable to have any savings, as well as being the remote cause of my broken marriage that lasted for twelve and half years. If it was not for God’s intervention, I don’t think I would have been alive today.

The journey of my deliverance started when a member of the Lord’s Chosen contracted me to do a work in his house. As I was working in a section of his house, he came singing a Christian song and after a while, he asked which church I was fellowshipping with. I told him that, although I was born into a Christian family, but since attaining the age of reasoning, I had never attended any Church. As we were talking, there was power outage and I felt relieved, as I didn’t want to be dragged into such discussion.

But within a short interval, power was restored and the Chosen brother invited me into his living room to watch the Chosen cable television. As we watched, I became captivated by the sermon and asked him the name of the church. He told me it was The Lord’s Chosen. Meanwhile, I was expecting him to offer me a bottle of beer, but when this was not forthcoming, I managed to watch the cable. As I watched, I heard the Pastor saying anyone that was into a second marriage, while his first wife is alive would not make heaven. At that juncture, it was like something pricked my heart and I became uncomfortable and regretted watching the cable. It was like I was being condemned, because I had divorced my first wife over twelve years and was living with the second wife. Not only did I divorce my first wife, I also had hatred for her and was even willing to harm her.

But after watching that programme that day, I went home devastated. And something happened. I noticed that I started having the urge to call my first wife on phone. Since twelve years we divorced, such compulsion to call her never occurred to me, instead, any time I remembered her, my heart would be bitter. The next day, I went to finish the work I was doing in that brother’s house. Afterwards, the brother invited me to watch the Chosen cable again and I went. And suddenly, the same salvation message was on. That second day afforded me the opportunity to properly listen and digest the sermon. After hearing that message that day, I became remorseful and saw no reason for divorcing my first wife.

Before then, I could mention in quick succession ten reasons why she would not be my wife. But that day, something worked on my mind that I could no longer justify my action. Later, the brother invited me to worship with them and I didn’t waste time honouring that invitation. The first time I attended their fellowship, I heard similar message and became more convicted. Gradually, I started fellowshipping with them and began to present the issue of my broken marriage before God. And what encouraged me the more was when I heard the testimony of a brother from Calabar, whose marriage broke up for eighteen years, but reconciled with his wife who had given birth to six children in the second husband’s house. I concluded that if God could reconcile eighteen-year broken marriage, my own of twelve years and half would be easier.

Then, in the month of May (Mercy) during ministration, the Pastor prophetically mentioned my case and said God was healing a twelve-year broken marriage in the next seven days. Immediately, I had a strong feeling the prophecy was for me. So, I claimed it. Two days later, I was going to work, when my phone rang. I checked the number, and it was that of my first wife. It was as if cold water was poured on my body. As I was trying to plead with her for reconciliation, she was also asking me when we could meet. Indeed, God is mysterious. Whatever He does is perfect and He does it seamlessly. Behold, that was the genesis of our reconciliation. As that discussion was going on, I went to my second wife and told her we had to separate, as I had decided to reconcile with my first wife. It was not easy at first, but because it was the Lord’s doing, she accepted and we separated amicably. It was stress-free for her because she had no child for me throughout the twelve and half years, while my first wife had a baby girl before we divorced. Now, I am happy to announce to all that I am living happily with the wife of my youth. To crown it all, God of Chosen has blessed us again with a bouncing baby boy. May His name be glorified!!

His Wife Speaks
My name is Sis Ebere Nweze. I am the true wife of my husband. The Scripture says in Malachi 2:16, “For the LORD, the God of Israel saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously” and Matthew 19:8 says, “He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.”

Brethren, truly, when this thing was happening, it was not easy for me. We had this quarrel for twelve and half years. I joined the Lord’s Chosen nine years ago before my husband. Though I was hearing our Pastor’s ministration, but never thought it would be possible to reconcile with my husband. Even when I heard the testimony of the Calabar brother, who testified how his eighteen-year broken marriage was restored, I never thought God would favour me like that. I was saying within me that it was difficult; that I would not do it. In that testimony, the sister said she left her five children with her first husband, when the quarrel was so tense and married a second husband. According to her, she gave birth to another six children for her second husband. But when she joined the Lord’s Chosen, she realised her error and returned to her first husband.

The day the testimony was given, I said it was difficult to do that, and I would not do it. But the sister sitting beside asked me, “Why are you saying such a thing? Is anything too hard for God? I told her that I left my husband because we quarreled and if anybody tells me to go back, I would never do that. But today, the God of Chosen has done that which no man could do. Now, we are reconciled and we are living together again. This God is a wonder working God.
