Men always ought to pray – Part 2

We have reached the end of the road, but God Has no end. We have reached the end of our knowledge, but God Has no end. We have reached the end of our ability, but God Has no end.

We have reached the end of the road, but God Has no end. We have reached the end of our knowledge, but God Has no end. We have reached the end of our ability, but God Has no end. We have reached the end of our connections, but God Has no end. We have become helpless suddenly, but God is our help and we cannot do anything anymore, but God always has the answer.

If you have been following the news about Coronavirus plague, you will know that globally, there are over three million cases and over 200,000 deaths. The medical experts all over the world are doing their best to catch up with dealing with these cases, but the illness catches up with some of them. Some of these medical experts have also been counted among the dead. Something bigger than the world has confronted it, just like the poor widow was confronted with an adversary stronger than her (Luke 18:3).

Beloved, despite the figures about a death we have been receiving every day as a result of Coronavirus plague, we should not lose heart. What does it mean not to lose heart? It means we should not give up calling on God. Prophet Isaiah said those who call upon the Lord’s name should not give Him rest until He establishes them and makes them the praise of the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7). You should not give God rest in this matter of Coronavirus, just as you have not given Him rest in so many other matters before. We may not know what exactly God’s Will for the world is at this time, but we ought to remind God that His children are in the world.

Beloved, fear not, as there is safety in God. During the period of famine, Joseph invited the sons of Israel to live in Egyptian territory, at a place called Goshen and their lives were preserved (Genesis 46). Goshen is described as the best land in Egypt, suitable for both crops and livestock. If God did it for the children of Israel in the land of Egypt and didn’t allow any harm to happen to them, He can do it again for us His children in the world. Even if God has not done it before, nothing stops Him from doing it now.

The children of God all over the world should rise in prayer. Jesus told His disciples that men always ought to pray and not lose heart (Luke 18:1). Our prayers should not only be limited to ourselves. Our prayers should cover the whole world. Our prayers should get out to that man who refuses to acknowledge God. Our prayers should get out to that woman who has backslidden from God. Our prayers should get out to those people who are blaspheming the name of God and our prayers should get out to those people, who have refused to acknowledge the existence of God and to worship Him.

Our prayer should be to cry out to God to show the world mercy, either by direct intervention or by sending a flash of light to men, so that they can discover a solution to the Coronavirus plague.

Jesus remains the answer; Jesus remains the solution; Jesus remains the hope of the world and Jesus remains our confidence. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Today’s Nugget: Jesus remains the hope of the world.
Prayer: Lord, I cry out to you to heal our world in Jesus Name
