Nathaniel Bassey, Dare justified, Sunmisola Agbebi, others lighten up glitz praise party

It was a period of reflection and thanksgiving at the Glitz Praise Party marking the 7th anniversary of Glitz event center and 6th anniversary of Glitz garages at the weekend.

The annual praise party, which was held at Glitz event centre in Lekki had Nathaniel Bassey, Dare Justified, Sunmisola Agbebi, Mairo Ese, Erniola Olusoga, Grace Omosebi and Shola Allyson as ministers.

MD/CEO, Glitz group, Adetola Akinola stated that the party is not just a celebration of anniversaries but a heartfelt thanksgiving to the patrons and partners who have played an integral role in the Glitz Group’s journey.

“It’s a testament to the unwavering support and love that the Glitz Group has received over the years,” she said. She said: “The lessons from today’s event is the fact that irrespective of what we have passed through, we should always remember to bring praises and thanks to God. In the midst of all of it, God kept us. There have been all sorts, but we are here. Not everyone had the privilege to still stand, but we are grateful to God. And we recognize the fact that it is God that has kept us, and so we return the praise back to him.

“The COVID year for example was a challenging year, particularly for the hospitality industry. We are aware that so many businesses never came out of the COVID experience, but we did, and we’re thankful.”

Akintola called for more government’s support in the hospitality industry, by making the environment more conducive for businesses, especially the small scale enterprise.” She also urged the industry players to do things right.

On her part, Coach & Founder, 700 Movement, Dr. Esther Longe encouraged Nigerians to be thankful and hopeful for a better country.

JCI Nigeria Senate Chair, JCI Senator Rotimi Adewole, said irrespective of life challenges, there is always a reason to be thankful, while urging Nigerians to be positive.

“We need prayers, but we also need to focus on the right things and do them. We need the leaders to make the right decisions; we need the leaders to put into consideration the situation of things and how the people are fairing. We need the leaders to put into consideration the welfare of the citizens. As citizens, we should also give the government an opportunity to do what they are supposed to do, while we also encourage them.”
