Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State have been told to display greater commitment to the ideals of the party and not to waver in their support for the present administration.

The Delta North Chairman of the party, Dada Ijeh gave the charge at Aboh, while addressing PDP faithful at the inauguration of the newly elected ward chairmen of the party in the area.

Ijeh congratulated and assured them of the total support of the state leadership of the party to enable them succeed in their task of managing the party’s affairs at the grassroots.

He assured the people of the commitment of the party to address their welfare and appealed to all aggrieved members to put their past behind and work as a team to promote the interest of the party.

In his remarks, chairman of PDP in Ndokwa East, Hon. Chris Oputa said the swearing-in ceremony was a fulfillment of the constitutional requirement of the party.

Oputa admonished the ward chairmen to put aside their narrow and parochial interests and work for the collective interest of the party, adding that the focus should be on how to win the 2019 general elections.

He therefore urged them to galvanise the grassroots in support of the PDP, saying they should be guided by the party’s constitution in the performance of their assignment.

Oputa promised to carry all along, adding that the reconciliation of members of the party was a top priority of the party in the locality.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the chairman of ward seven, Mr. Agbi Uto thanked the party for the opportunity given them to serve.
