To put a stop to dryness and poverty in your family, there are things that must be done.

First is to give your life to Christ. When you do this, poverty and dryness becomes a thing of the past. The Bible says Jesus became poor so that we, through His poverty, might become rich.

2 Cor8:9. He took upon Himself not only the sins of the world, but also the effects of sin, one of which is poverty. This is the reason everyone that has given his/her life to Christ must reject poverty.

The fact that you don’t own a beautiful house or a nice car doesn’t mean you’re poor. As a Christian all the wealth of this world belongs to you!

Once you accept this truth in your spirit, and allow it dominate your thinking, your life will take a new meaning and it will be impossible for you to lack any good thing in life. We can’t be poor as Christians because God called us to help the poor, no wonder the Bible declares that “we make many rich, 2Cor9: 16. Above all, God’s desire is for you to prosper and remain in health 3John2.

Another way to stop dryness and poverty is in Luke6:38, it says to the poor and rich alike, “Give, and it shall be given unto you good measure pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. W

hat you give will determine what you get back. The devil is the one that came up with the idea that poor people shouldn’t be expected to give, because that way he keeps them poor. If God doesn’t want poor people to give, Jesus would have rejected the offering of the widow at the temple because she gave her last two pennies. Mark 12:43-44.

The Bible says there’s one that scatters, yet increases more, and there’s one that withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. Proverbs 11:24-25.

God wants everyone to pay their tithes and give their offerings, so He can make them rich. Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring all the tithe into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my temple. If you do,” says the Lord, I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it! Try it! Put me to test!

Dryness and poverty does not have to be a fact of life for you and your family. You can live blessed and prosperous, for God doesn’t want you poor and frustrated. He wants you blessed, so reject poverty in it entirety, because you’re a joint heir with Christ. Everything that belongs to Christ belongs to you.
