Sixty as a number is a multiplication of six and 10; 6 X 10.

Six is the number that represents labour; creative labour in human and natural resources that a people and their land is blessed with, by a Benevolent God.

Ten is the number that represents the 10 commandments that guide the good and living relationship between man and his Creator and man with his neighbour as the standard of righteousness, love, truth and peace for national health and national worthiness.

Now let’s look at Nigeria-labour-mirror at 60 of our honest and diligent labour service. Every nation dreams of becoming a model national city. Have we, as a people, known how to go and become a city by diligent labour of good knowledge, wisdom and understanding via our growth in the acquisition of science and technology productive skills?

Ecclesiastes 10:15
[15]The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.
Do we have a house called the Nigerian-House? Do we provide jobs and feed the house?

1 Timothy 5:8
[8]But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Proverbs 9:17-18
[17]Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
[18]But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

Have we recognised the indispensability of God’s primary factor in building a nation as a house? Do we also have the true love and responsibility of watching over this house- Nigeria as complimentary to God watching over us.

Psalms 127:1
[1](A Song of degrees for Solomon.) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

The Edo governorship election has invigorated the hope, faith and love for a true cohesive great Nigeria undergoing a sure deliverance program and is reverberating glorious rays of hope for the Nigerian nation. First and foremost, we give God all the glory for what He has done for us. Also, kudos to president Buhari, the police, the army, INEC and many other contributors.

At 60, may the Lord God gloriously enthrone Nigeria in revealing and manifesting His Great Grace on the nation as He did to King Solomon and Israel.

Song of Solomon 3:6-8
[6]Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?

[7]Behold his bed, which is Solomon’s; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.

[8]They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.

God bless Nigeria at 60 and henceforth. Amen!
