The overcomers life – Part 1

Man was created by God to live a good life, a life of Dominion, Abundance and peace and that remain the expectations of God for all Men. (Jer 29:11). Man can only leave in the abundance of his expectations only by God’s set standards thru obedience to His instructions.

Life is like a race, though many may run, but only few win. 1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. Unless you win your own race you can never have a reward. Every individual has their own race to run. So also until you overcome the hurdles of life that have been thrown your way, you can’t enjoy the rewards of life, as promised by God. Now, it is important that we overcome the challenges of our life, as God Himself has declared that His promises are for those that overcome their challenges.

Revelations 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Life is founded on spiritual principles, though many may try to unravel the mysteries of this principles through various spiritual medium, but the truth be told, no one can understand and direct us better than the Creator Himself.

For we to understand our life better and overcome in life, we need to meditate in the word of God day in and out (Joshua 1: 8) The challenges of life come in the way of temptation. At every point in a man’s life, he may find himself in situations he has to make a choice, either to go to the right or to the left and whatever be the decisions he takes today will surely determine the position he finds himself tomorrow. Just like a school, the higher the level to be attained, the tougher the exams. Nobody will promote you or award you the desired certificates, if you don’t pass the exams.

The more your aspirations in life, the higher your temptations. Like the saying goes, to whom much is given, much is expected. No one walks into the manifestation of their destinies without first overcoming the challenges that come with it. At this junction, I would like us to look into some Biblical facts on temptation. 

7 Facts On Temptations 
1. It Is Natural 
▪ It is natural to be tempted. As long as we are alive in the human body, life is all about God’s instructions. There will always be an option to obey or disobey. But know that no matter the temptation we face in our daily lives, we are expected to overcome.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

2 God Does Not Tempt
God does not tempt anyone, He only sets the purpose and standard He wants everyman to attain. Men are mostly drawn into temptation by their aspiration in life and this God allows, as an examination set by the tempter, who is the devil, so that when you excel in it, then you truly qualify to enter into your next level of life. According to His purpose, this precedent was set by man himself in the Garden of Eden.

James 1:13 – 14
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death

3. Why Temptation 
Trials and temptations are made to promote you into a new level of life. It does not matter whether you are a saint or a sinner, as long as you are alive and you haven’t attained God’s purpose and you aspire to fulfil destiny, then it must come to you. Christ Himself was tempted so as to enter into the higher manifestation of His ministry. Matthew 4:1; 3
