Be True, Be Committed To God
Reward From The Kingdom:

Rahab was highly sensitive to prophetic time. She was connected to God and did not allow circumstances to rob her of her reward. She offered something to the spies — security, protection, food and direction. Always have something to offer.

“And she said unto the men, I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you” Joshua 2:9. Rahab took a risk for the kingdom and she was rewarded. Nobody told her what to do, she decided to apply her wisdom and shared her resources with the spies.

Seek Divine Opportunities: Take hold of the moment and use it wisely. Rahab, though a prostitute, took advantage of the moment. She caught the moment for a divine reward and she got it. Don’t miss divine timing that will provoke heaven to favour you.

“Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the Lord, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father’s house … And it shall be, when the Lord hath given us the land that we will deal kindly and truly with thee,” Joshua 2:12-14. Always have something to bargain with.

Keep Covenant: “And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear. Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.

And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless … And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window” Joshua 2:17-21. Always keep your part in every bargain or deal; it always pays to do so. Because of her, the word of the Lord to Moses was conveyed to the spies.

“And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us” Joshua 2:24.

Rahab did not only cease the moment, she obeyed to the detail, the agreement she had with the spies. In business or any deal, maintain a clear integrity and play your part well. Even if the other person fails on his or her part of the deal, keep your part of the bargain. In due time, you will be rewarded.

Obey Rules And Instructions: If Rahab hadn’t obeyed, she would have distorted God’s plan for her life and be killed with her family. She would not have got her reward, instead she would have perished with the Canaanites. “And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country,” Joshua 2:3.

Be Humble To Receive Directions And Instructions: Every instruction obeyed brings you to a new level spiritually and physically.
“And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, there came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were,” Joshua 2:4.
Let Old Things Pass Away: Forgive, forget past offences, sanctify, prepare yourself for the future (Joshua 2:24). Let God go before you. As long as God is ahead of you, you will get and enter into the land (Joshua 2:9-11). Greatness and victories are rewards of obedience to God’s words.

“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge,” Job 36:11-12.
