To build up yourself means to charge yourself like a battery. We all have mobile phones now. My phone, if fully charged can only serve me for one full day. If I leave it uncharged getting into the second day, it would have so run down, it could disappoint me. Any day you don’t pray in tongues, at least half to one hour, your spiritual current will run low. Like a mobile phone, you need to recharge daily.

A car battery, if fully charged, can shock you if you touch its terminals with bare hands. A man fully charged in the Holy Ghost becomes a live wire for God. His mere word or touch can lift and zap men on the floor for hours.

I say praying in tongues is the launching pad into the supernatural. Apostle Paul received such an abundance of revelations, more than any other. He received the revelation of the structure of the church with the five-fold ministry and the nine gifts of the Spirit. He also had great insight to the divine pattern for marriage. Paul received what most other men have not received. What was his secret?

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue … speaketh mysteries.” – 1 Corinthians 14:2
In other words, he is downloading mysteries. I have been praying in tongues for some years. But one early morning, while I was praying in tongues, the sweet gentle voice of the Holy Spirit whispered to me to pray for the ability to interpret your own tongue and go ahead and do it. 1 Corinthians 14:13. I did just that and by faith began to exercise the gift of interpretation of tongues. Right from that day, I exercised that gift every morning. Every morning, I hear the Holy Spirit speak through me words of prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom. I receive instructions, insights, revelations and even messages I am to preach. He tells me things I am to implement in my church or in my life. So, from praying in tongues for hours every day for years, I suddenly saw myself flowing in the gifts of interpretations of tongues, prophecy, the gifts of words of wisdom and words of knowledge. I began to climb the ladder into the supernatural.

“But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27
I began to receive so much revelation and teaching from the Holy Spirit Himself I had to open a special book I call ‘my prophetic journal.’ Every child of God ought to operate with such.
“Howbeit, when the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear that shall HE speak: and He will shew you things to come”. – John 16:13

I listened to a preacher relate how Lester Sumrall was divinely connected to Howard Carter by the gifts of the Spirit. Lester Sumrall was the man Wigglesworth prayed for before he died. As a result, he literally went all over the world demonstrating the power of God through the gifts of the Spirit.

God had told Howard Carter, he was to travel around the world declaring, sharing and demonstrating the truth of the gifts of the Spirit and for this purpose, He will bring Him a travel partner from a distant land, who will be a stranger to him. The day you meet him, he will say these words, “I will do what you do; I will go where you go. If you travel by plane I will do likewise, if you go by train so will I. if you will walk I will walk.” Reverend Carter wrote those words down in his book of prophecies and kept them.

Eighteen months later, he crossed over to America from England for a camp meeting in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Meanwhile, Lester was also conducting a revival meeting two hundred miles away in Oklahoma. While he was having his early morning prayer, he received a word of wisdom to close down the meeting and go to Eureka Springs. He abruptly closed the meeting, much to the disappointment of the host minister and took off to Eureka Springs, where he met the camp meeting in session and the unknown Howard Carter ministering.

He found himself moving straight to Reverend Carter after the service and blurting out the exact words Reverend Carter had recorded in his journal of prophecy eighteen month earlier. Reverend Carter took him to his hotel and showed him the book of prophecy and what was written.
