The name Pharaoh, the traditional title for the olden day’s rulers of Egypt, is used metaphorically in Christian circles for enemy. Christians all over the world have one enemy known as the Devil who opposes the gospel of the Lord and the propagation of the word of God. The Devil attacks Christians so that they will not serve God. The Devil and his agents are referred to as Pharaoh.
The use of Pharaoh as a metaphor for enemy dates back to the time the Israelites were living in Egypt as slaves. Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob was hated by his brothers, as a result, he was sold him to slavery. He was sold to the Ishmaelites who took him to Egypt where he was resold to Potiphar, an officer in charge of the prison in Pharaoh’s government. Joseph while serving in Potiphar’s house had a problem with the master’s wife. Potiphar’s wife wanted Joseph to commit adultery with her, but he refused. Based on this, Joseph was falsely accused and incarcerated.
In the prison, he interpreted the dreams of two fellow inmates. One went back to his work, the other was killed according to Joseph’s interpretation of their dreams. Pharaoh’s bottler who went back to his work from prison remembered Joseph when Pharaoh had a dream and needed an interpreter. Joseph was instantly released from prison and brought to Pharaoh who narrated his dreams to him.
The accurate interpretation of the dreams led to Joseph’s instant promotion to the position of the Prime Minister of Egypt. Joseph took over the management of Egyptian economy. He oversaw the planting, harvesting, preservation, and storage of agricultural produces in preparation for the predicted famine that will ravage the world. The famine affected Jacob’s family in Canaan and the brothers in search of food came to Egypt where they met Joseph, their brother. The entire family eventually relocated to Egypt.
As long as Joseph was alive, and the Pharaoh who promoted him was still in charge, the Israelites had no problems; they were happy. When both Pharaoh and Joseph died and another Pharaoh who did not know Joseph mounted the throne, jealousy set in against the Israelites. The King promulgated a decree that reduced the Israelites to slaves. Their male children were to be killed at birth, while the female were allowed to live and later given out to Egyptians in marriage for free. The matured men were used for forced labour -— to work without pay. At the height of this intimidation, the Israelites cried God Who sent Moses to rescue them from bondage. On God’s directive, Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and demanded the release of their people — the Israelites. But Pharaoh replied: “And afterwards Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 2: And Pharaoh said, who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go” (Genesis 5:1-2). This tantamount to aberration for a human being created and nurtured by God to say he does not know God and therefore will not obey His words. It is the reaction to Pharaoh’s statement that prompted God to declare in the lead scripture: “He will use eagle’s hand to rescue His people and Pharaoh will by force release them to go out of his land.”
It is indeed a misnomer, ignorant too, for an individual to say he will not obey God. Power belongs to God, hence He has the ability to force any creature do His biddings. It is ignorance for a man to raise his finger or voice against God. The Bible says in Isaiah 43:10-13: “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me, there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11: I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. 12: I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. 13: Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?”
We, human beings are the creation of God; no human being has the ability to challenge God. If an individual falls on the wrong side of God, he or she will break into pieces, irrespective of his or her powers. No one can deliver anybody God has chosen to go into battle with. Nobody can stop Him from His plans. The Pharaoh who out of ignorance said he would not obey God, did it out of duress. And afterwards caused the death of all the firstborn sons in Egypt. God laid ambush for him at the Red Sea. He dragged him out with his entire infantry and their ammunitions and they were all drowned — perished in the Red Sea. He has the power to do all things as the Bible says in 1Samuel 2:6-9: “The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave and bringeth up. 7: The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. 8: He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them. 9: He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”
Men, at all levels, are living by God’s grace. Everything man has comes from God, including his wealth and position. Atheists are having the erroneous believe that there is no God. They fail to think of how they came into existence, who created and gave them life. It is God that has provided for all; no one can stand on his own. Human wisdom is foolishness to God. No man should think he can challenge God and live. Pharaoh who tried it, aside failing woefully, did what he earlier refused to do. God is watching the conduct of every man. If you honour God, He in turn will honour you; but if you think you can do without God you will end up in shame and disgrace. Every man, therefore, should humble himself to be obedient to God and also, to serve Him. Whosoever serves God in truth and righteousness will never regret it, as the person will receive his or her physical blessing on earth and everlasting life in heaven. Therefore, through this message, l counsel you to understand that no man can challenge God. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Omnipotent God, Self-existing, Ultimate in power, any man that challenges God, wants to die. Remember, King Herod tried it and God caused worms to eat him alive, King Nebuchadnezzar at a time became proud and God turned him to an animal. God sent him to the bush, where he ate grasses for seven years. So, who is he that can challenge God? Let it be known to all, that nobody can challenge God and live.
Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
Evil Uncles Paid Back In Their Own Coins
MY name is Sister Joy. I am from Nasarawa State. I joined this ministry in February 2022, when my madam invited me to the just concluded crusade titled, “From Sorrow To Joy.” I came here with the names of my family members and presented them to the God of Chosen. After the crusade, next morning, my brother called me and said he was able to sleep the previous night (being the last day of the crusade) and that something came out from his head. While he was still saying this, according to him, my uncle began to shout, saying fire is burning all over his body.
My uncle in faraway Nasarawa State began to confess. He said he is the one afflicting my brother, and also did something to my twin sister and I that whenever we get married that we will not conceive or give birth to children.
After the confession, he began to beg that I should quench the fire on his body, but I told him I did not put any fire on him. Not long after this, he fell and died.
The daughter, however, accused me of killing her father and threatened to kill my father and me too. A few minutes after the threat, she called back, begging that l should forgive her, that she acted out of ignorance.
With my first uncle gone, another of my uncles called me again and confessed too. He passed on just like the first one. My village people were surprised and began to ask where I had gone to seek revenge.
Before now, I do not know the name of the church, so, I called my madam, who said it is the Lord’s Chosen Ministry and I passed the message to those in the village. I praise the Lord, that the God of Chosen has delivered my family and l from evil uncles. I appreciate the Lord for His mighty deliverance upon my entire family.
