Yobe State Government has earmarked N11.7 billion for the execution of road and market projects across the state. The four roads to be constructed include Potiskum, Gashu’a and Geidam pavement reinforced roads, covering 12.8 kilometres.

The Yobe State Executive Council (SEC) has approved N15.96 billion for the completion of 3,600 houses across the state.The housing projects, which are in phases, are sited in the 17 councils of the state.

A traditional ruler in Yobe State has been suspended indefinitely from his position as Lawan (Ward Head) of Fannami ward in Gashua, Bade local government area, following an allegation of rape of a six-year-old boy from his community.

Yobe State government has said it saved over N6 billion, following its biometric workers’ verification exercise in the 17 local council areas of the state.

The Yobe state government has earmarked N3.03 billion for the upgrade and rehabilitation of public schools, feeding and payment of West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSC) fees for its students.
