African governments, investors, financial institutions, businesses and development partners will convene in Antalya on Friday, November 13, 2026, for the inaugural Africa Climate Implementation Summit (ACIS), a pan-African platform connecting the continent’s climate priorities with investment, partnerships and practical implementation.

The November 13 summit in Antalya will bring African governments, investors and businesses together to accelerate climate investment and implementation, spotlight corporate renewable energy opportunities through a forthcoming Climate Group report, and feature Lagos State’s estimated US$25–50 billion climate investment opportunity.

Convened by Vantage Climate, a leading Pan-African Climate Investment Advisory and Strategic Communications organisation, in partnership with Ohobu Media Group, Building For Africa Media, Lagos State Government and Carbonivity, a carbon asset management firm, the Summit will take place under the theme “From Climate Commitments to Investment – Connecting African Projects, Climate Finance and Implementation.”

The Summit seeks to advance Africa’s climate agenda beyond representation in global negotiations towards investable projects, stronger capital partnerships and measurable outcomes. It will bring together project developers, investors, financial institutions and strategic partners to connect African opportunities with the capital, expertise and partnerships needed to move projects from ambition to implementation.

“The Africa climate challenge is also an investment opportunity, but unlocking it requires more than ambition. We need to connect credible projects with capital, expertise, technology and strategic partnerships that can accelerate implementation. Through this Summit, we are building a platform to bridge that gap, strengthen Africa’s position in the global climate investment landscape and establish a sustained pipeline of opportunities beyond COP31, towards COP32 in Addis Ababa,” said David Goldfinger Idagu, Founder of Vantage Climate.

A key feature of the Summit will be insights from The Climate Group’s forthcoming report, Corporate Renewable Energy in Sub-Saharan Africa, developed in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the Accelerated Partnership for Renewables in Africa (APRA). The collaboration will bring an important corporate and industrial energy perspective to the Summit’s investment agenda, highlighting the role of renewable energy procurement by businesses in accelerating industrial development, expanding renewable-powered economic activity and supporting Africa’s energy transition.

The Summit is designed to establish a sustained pan-African platform for climate investment and implementation, extending beyond COP31 and building momentum towards COP32 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2027. It will convene stakeholders from across the climate and investment ecosystem, including commercial banks, development finance institutions, institutional and impact investors, project developers, corporate leaders and technology providers.

It will also explore the role of carbon markets and high-integrity carbon assets in mobilising climate finance for African projects, including the importance of credible project development, transparent market structures and stronger connections between project developers, investors and carbon credit buyers.

“Carbon markets and high-integrity carbon assets can play an important role in mobilising climate finance for Africa. However, realising this opportunity requires credible project development, transparent market structures and stronger connections between project developers, investors and carbon credit buyers. The Africa Climate Implementation Summit provides an important platform to advance these conversations and unlock the partnerships needed to scale Africa’s carbon and climate investment opportunities,” said Dr. Adebola Odunsi, Chief Executive Officer of Carbonivity.

As part of the programme, the Lagos State Government will present an indicative US$25–50 billion climate investment opportunity across more than 300 potential projects, anchored in its State-Determined Contributions (SDCs) Framework and supporting its ambition to become Africa’s first Climate Investment Jurisdiction.

The Africa Climate Implementation Summit will be followed by two complementary sessions, creating a progression from high-level dialogue to practical project engagement and investment opportunities. The Africa Climate Deal Room & Project Showcase will provide a platform for project developers and solution providers to present opportunities, engage with investors and explore potential commercial partnerships. This will be followed by Lagos Climate Investment Day, showcasing Lagos State’s climate investment proposition, its State-Determined Contributions Framework and pathways for connecting the State’s project pipeline with investors, financial institutions and development partners.

Building For Africa, the Summit’s official media partner, will launch a 12-month editorial and multimedia series at COP31, “The Africa Climate & Energy Economy: Powering Growth. Financing Innovation. Building Africa.”
The series will spotlight the investors, businesses, financial institutions and innovators shaping Africa’s climate and energy economy through executive interviews, investor conversations, thought leadership and multimedia features, with a focus on renewable energy, climate finance, sustainable infrastructure, carbon markets and green innovation.
Investors, organisations, brands and business leaders interested in interview features, sponsorship and content partnerships are invited to get involved and showcase their work to African and international audiences as the series builds momentum towards COP32 in Africa.
