Atiku demands independent probe into 37 deaths In NSCDC custody

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for an independent, thorough and transparent investigation into the deaths of 37 Nigerians in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger State, even as the people of Niger State separately dismissed Governor Umaru Bago's statement blaming the NSCDC as inconsequential, insisting he cannot detach himself from his role as the state's Chief Security Officer.
