When Nigerian documentary filmmaker Joel Kachi Benson resolved to make the film, Daughters of Chibok, little did he know that the venture would put him on international stage. Today, the documentary, which was produced in Virtual Reality (VR), has earned Benson the Lion Award for Best Story at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival.
