Stakeholders in the health and agricultural sectors have decried consumption of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) foods, as it could put citizens at risk.

Clearly, it is not about regulating or testing the safety of these GMO products, NBMA’s gripe is that these companies need to come and get licences from them. At this point, one must wonder where NAFDAC fits in all this.
