Telecom tariff hike: NLC begins strike today as key CSOs withdraw backing

The planned strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) kicks off today with prominent civil society organisations withdrawing support for the action. The labour union had called for the strike to protest the 50 per cent hike in telecoms tariffs by the Nigerian Communications Commission
