Life and times of Valery Giscard d’Estaing

Valery Giscard d’Estaing, 94, a former conservative President of France has died of COVID-19. He became President of France in 1974 vowing to transform his tradition bound, politically polarized country only to be thrown out of office seven years later after failing to accomplish his goals.
