Digital licensing to commence Q2, says NIPOST boss
Postmaster General, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Tola Odeyemi, has said the NIPOST is migrating from analogue to a digital licensing process and will fully migrate by Q2.
She said after the migration, businesses and individuals could easily track the status of their licences online and get digital certificates, while those that would still prefer physical copies would get them.
Speaking, yesterday, at the Accelerating e-commerce through Digital and Physical Infrastructure Integration Stakeholders Forum, themed, ‘Bridging the Gap: Digital Innovation Meets Logistics, hosted by Glovo, NIPOST and the Ministry of Communications, Odeyemi said they were aware of the challenges faced by e-commerce operators and logistics riders in terms of poor infrastructure, harassment as well as over-regulation by state and non-state actors.
According to her, NIPOST has a number of infrastructures that the industry needs and is willing to share them with private players in the sector to grow the ecosystem.
Speaking on harassment and over-regulation, she said she was not unaware of the complaints and vowed to tackle it headlong this year in partnership with the Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department.
