Google Read Along app – 9ijakids get attention
9ijakids, an Edtech company that develops fun learning content and games has partnered with Google by providing colourful, fun and educative stories for children on its early literacy app called, Read Along.
Google launched its Read Along app in 2019, to improve children’s literacy levels and recently partnered with 9ijakids to help more kids learn to read through its app.
Within weeks of the publication of 9ijakids’ short stories in the Read Along app, the stories were read over 11,000 times!
Through this partnership, 9ijakids is advancing its goal of bringing African stories to the global stage, and supporting the delivery of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) goal, an initiative to improve children’s literacy skills. 9ijakids is sharing African stories and values with the rest of the world.
The Read Along is a free app available on Android platform and in more than 180 countries worldwide.
The partnership with Google is in line with 9ijakids’ vision to leverage technology, digital content and gamification to help the African child acquire relevant skills needed to become leaders of tomorrow.
