Giant steps of Abuchi Iloanya in food equipment business

Abuchi Vincent Iloanya never had the opportunity to go to the university because his parents, Mr and Mrs Iloanya of Awkuzu, Anambra State could not afford it. But destiny had great plans in store for him as he enrolled himself in apprenticeship under a master, as most Igbo boys do, to learn the rudiments of the industrial kitchen equipment business.

He served his master for six years and went on his own four years ago. Of course, he wanted to be like his master but had a different idea on how the business could be fine-tuned to keep in line with the demands and pace of the digital age. He knew to keep with the evolving markets, he had to employ the Information and Communications Technology approach which he embraced with both arms. Then Jiji and OLX presented him the opportunity he wanted.

“My business expanded long time ago using Jiji and OLX for marketing tools. But it expanded, more like it blew the moment I started using Instagram. Instagram has been a blessing to me I won’t lie. Instagram brought my business out there and connected me to so many big people in the society. Celebrities and politicians all patronize me, all thanks to my mentor, Mark Zuckerbek,” he said in an interview.

The business, grew in leaps and bounds because Abuchi Iloanya, beyond making use of social media tools applied the best ethics of business which is evident in their vision and mission statement.

“We maintain flexibility to be able to adapt to variable conditions and an ever-changing environment. Since the launch of Abutex, we have been continually developing new products, keeping up with the latest new techniques and trends to remain at the forefront of the industry.
