The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju, who spoke at the event at the weekend said that the training was in line with the directive of the Joint Monitoring Team that recently visited the state from Abuja.

According to him, the state government would continue to provide qualitative healthcare to all and sundry, noting that the refresher training would help maximise the output of the health system.

He promised that government would continue to support RBF where necessary in order to achieve a common goal.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary, Primary Health Care Development Board, Dr. Olugbenga Osunmakinwa, informed that the essence of the training was to identify areas of challenges with a view to finding solution that will help to achieve the target goal.

He expressed optimism that with the refresher training, participants would come out with better understanding of the project.

The Nigeria State Health Investment Project (NSHIP) Coordinator in Ondo State, Dr. Omobola Ige, stressed the importance of the training, explaining that it would go a long way in up-dating the personnel’s knowledge.

She enjoined the participants to always put in their best so as to justify the reason for organising the training; while the NSHIP representative, Pharmacist Lami, responding on behalf of partcipants, admitted that the training was timely, describing it as a right step in a right direction.
