Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday, urged Christians to constantly express appreciation to God at all times, regardless of the circumstances.
He said that Nigerians should learn how to always love one another, irrespective of religious affiliations, as well as think of God’s love, which is always so rich and overflowing.
Sanwo-Olu, who spoke during the unveiling of a new logo and 40th anniversary of the Diocese of Owo Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, in Owo Local Council of Ondo State at the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew on Imila Street in Owo, described his invitation to be the chief launcher of the church anniversary logo, as a rare privilege.
He, however, donated N50 million to the church.
ALSO, General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has called on Nigerians to depart from every form of wickedness and ask for God’s mercy.
He, therefore, asked those who are involved in vices, as well as those benefitting from them, to repent and turn to God.
Adeboye, who spoke through the Assistant General Overseer (Admin) and the Pastor in charge of Region One, Dele Balogun, yesterday, at the RCCG Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, lamented government’s attitude towards those in disability despite the existing enabling act to integrate them.
The General Overseer, who stated that the RCCG Congress, which starts today, is an opportunity for Nigerians to get their double portion according to the theme of the congress, said that departure from wickedness and fully identifying with God’s love would guarantee double portion as Nigerians and as a nation.
