According to her, “Our goal is to set the pace. We constantly source for uncommon products and capitalize on them before they become common.”

She said such attitude and approach form the foundation of her business policy. She revealed that it was the very idea that defines the essence on which Personal Transport Nigeria was founded.

Recounting how it all started for her, she narrated, “I started my journey in 2015. Before then, I was sourcing for anything unique to sell in my small showroom in Ajah, Lagos. I was praying to God to guide me, and give me my breakthrough business because I wanted a very comfortable life. One day, I got a call from a friend asking if I could source a hoverboard. I decided to try it out and I bought four of them to sell and people started ordering and from then till now, it’s been consistent growth on a daily basis.”

Olukoya also revealed that she registered the business originally as Personal Transport Sales and Services. But noted that the brand has become popular as Personal Transport Nigeria, a brand that has become something of a sensation on Instagram @personaltransport_ng with over 100 thousand followers.

Speaking about the mission behind the brand, she said it is in the name “Personal Transport” itself, saying the name connotes limitless opportunities.

“The mission behind Personal Transport is the name itself, to have a business that won’t limit me. To trade in anything that has to do with personal Transportation. I see Personal Transport having stores across the nation. Currently, we are in Lagos and Abuja.

“The business is quite a smooth one but not without some challenges, which include unstable electricity and dollar rate, logistics company delays and importation unstable prices,” she said.

Personal Transport Nigeria started in 2015 under the registered name of Personal Transport Sales and Services. The brand has two outlets in Lagos and Abuja.
